Welcome to the New Wu's Feet Links Columns Blog

Hello everyone. I'm proud to announce the all new Wu's Feetlinks Columns Blog to all of you. When Wu passed away in mid-2014 I told BHE I'd try to assist in helping get some of the sections of his site up and running - including a few bygone ones.

For years Wu had a number of different columnist writing regular foot fetish themed articles long before the term "blog" existed. I always enjoyed this section. I've also carried on a column/blog since I began Soles of Silk back in 2004. Sadly the columns section ceased being updated in 2010.

From 2003-05 Sexy Michelle of the website, Oh My Hose, wrote monthly columns. To be honest with you, she may have been writing them prior to 2003 based on the text found in the earliest column, however. It's quite possible previous columns existed prior to Wu moving his site to BHE. Only the columns listed on the Wu's Feetlinks columns page when he passed away were included here.

In 2006-07 Genie of the website, 1 Genies Feet, took over the column duties in a section titled, "Genie's G-Spot." She wrote only five columns before she and her site vanished from the foot fetish landscape. She, her site, and her columns are all dearly missed. Here is the introduction that was found on Genie's old section:

Greetings! My name is Genie. Some of you may already know me from my foot site 1 Genie's Feet. I have always been a huge fan of Wu. He is the Man! I admire him, I love his site and I am very proud to be his friend. Like most of you, I visit Wu's all the time, and I usually check out Michele's Monthly Column. So when Wu contacted me and asked if I would consider taking over her column - I was ecstatic. I can't even begin to tell you how exciting this opportunity really is for me.
I have had a foot fetish since I was a little girl, and I like many of you have been intrigued and even compelled by my ped-curiosities. Being on-line over the past several years has been an incredible growing experience... one which has undoubtedly opened me up sexually... occurring in ways that I never thought possible.
My monthly articles will be an attempt to share a female fetishist perspective drawing on my own personal experiences, and observations. I would like to take moment to thank Wu for giving me G-Spot and of course to all of you for checking out my new column. I would also like to give a special thanks to Michele for sharing her insight. We've all enjoyed her articles about the power of the female foot, and sexual exploration. I don't want to take her place - I would just like to continue where she left off.

In 2009-10 Mommie, a.k.a. Elizabeth, of the website Mommie's Feet, took up the torch for Wu in her columns section titled, "Tip Toeing with Goddess Elizabeth." She wrote a total of 10 columns before stopping. Here is the introduction that was found on Mommie's old section:

Recently Wu emailed me and asked if I would take on the treasured role of "resident columnist" here on Wu's Feet Links! Like so many others before me, I always enjoyed reading Genie's G-Spot columns and it took me no time at all to say yes! Both Genie and her predecessor, Michele, were insightful and passionate writers who created a wonderful place for me to pick up from and continue...I am excited to see where our "tip toeing" takes us together!
Many of you are familiar with me through my sites, MommiesFeet.com and ElizabethsFeet.com. I have been part of the online foot community since 2006, as a foot model and webmaster. When I was introduced to the outside influence of my fellow fetishists, my fascination with feet flourished and manifested itself into every fiber of my being. My first love is the back end of my websites and the second is my camera,a simple Canon Powershot SX100 IS. I prefer to be known as "brains" first and then a beautiful set of feet!
With this column I hope to explore and share new things I learn, give thoughtful female insights on many topics that are circulating in the community and bring to light the beauty of our foot fetish!

After Wu's passing Mommie contacted me and asked if she could be of any assistance with getting long neglected sections back up running again. She offered to relight the torch of the columns section once more. I'm looking forward to this rekindling as she's been a little too quiet lately. She's always had a great outlook on things with a strong conviction to the fetish.

I'm not going to interject here, leaving Mommie to her own devices as far as the columns go. If there is any news that needs to be shared, then you'll see my byline. If Mommie, for some reason, needs a fill in, then I'd also be happy to help out. But other than that, I'm looking forward to reading what others have to say. Plus, you can always read my columns on the Soles of Silk Blog.

I'm glad you found this blog and am looking forward to keeping Wu's vision alive. He was a true pioneer and a friend to many!

Editor's note: Shortly after this blog was published Mommie contacted me to inform me that she has rethought her offer to be the columnist for the relaunch. She said she does not think she would be able to dedicate the time needed to do these on a regular basis. At this point, I am considering potential columnists as a replacement - even the idea of having a few. Until then, you may see me writing columns so that this blog can move forward.

Foot Cleaning - A Short History (Archive)

The column found below was published in April 2010 on Wu's Feetlinks. With Wu's passing in 2014, I have decided to preserve these columns here on the all new Wu's Feetlinks Columns Blog as new columnists carry on with the new ones. Please note: Website URLs, e-mail addresses, and mailing addresses found within these republished blogs may no longer be valid.

In a world where it is nearly impossible to find a place that you can frolic freely barefoot, touching and bathing another person's feet can be an extremely intimate and personal act which shows signs of trust, love, and openness. Cleansing your own feet can be a relaxing moment that can help you feel refreshed and renewed and has become quite a common grooming habit for many men and women. If you really look at the history of this act you will find that it has been used as an initiation, a welcoming gesture, a purification ritual, and as a means to demonstrate humbleness.

The root of religious feet-washing appears to be found in the customs of many ancient civilizations, especially where sandals were commonly worn. A host would provide water for guests to wash their feet or they would provide a servant to wash the feet of the guests. Roman Catholics believe that Jesus washed the feet of the 12 apostles before The Last Supper to show humility and brotherhood. It also recorded that the observance of foot washing at the time of baptism was maintained in Africa, Gaul, Germany, Milan, northern Italy, and Ireland. In Buddhism, clean water mixed with sandalwood to clean the feet is one of the eight typical offerings and if you cleanse the feet of an enlightened being, it is possible to cleanse one's own karma.

Foot cleansing can involve just plain water but many like to include other ingredients to help soften, fortify and provide relief from tension, stress or abuse. Rose Absolute essential oil can be useful for stress, eczema, menopause and depression while Epsom’s salt (or sea salt), Lavender oil and Tee Tree oil can help relax you and get you ready for a good night's rest. You can also mix a milk and honey bath which provides skin conditioning but also a really delicious aroma and taste. Ingredients are not the only additions to foot baths. You can also add scrubbed and cleaned stones and rocks to the floor of your foot bath to give your toes a little something to play with while you are soaking and cleansing.

You can observe the same rituals and ceremonies as our ancestors or you can create your own. There is no strict set of rules that apply so go wild! Study our past cultures and experiment to suit your taste and comfort level.
