Welcome to the New Wu's Feet Links Columns Blog

Hello everyone. I'm proud to announce the all new Wu's Feetlinks Columns Blog to all of you. When Wu passed away in mid-2014 I told BHE I'd try to assist in helping get some of the sections of his site up and running - including a few bygone ones.

For years Wu had a number of different columnist writing regular foot fetish themed articles long before the term "blog" existed. I always enjoyed this section. I've also carried on a column/blog since I began Soles of Silk back in 2004. Sadly the columns section ceased being updated in 2010.

From 2003-05 Sexy Michelle of the website, Oh My Hose, wrote monthly columns. To be honest with you, she may have been writing them prior to 2003 based on the text found in the earliest column, however. It's quite possible previous columns existed prior to Wu moving his site to BHE. Only the columns listed on the Wu's Feetlinks columns page when he passed away were included here.

In 2006-07 Genie of the website, 1 Genies Feet, took over the column duties in a section titled, "Genie's G-Spot." She wrote only five columns before she and her site vanished from the foot fetish landscape. She, her site, and her columns are all dearly missed. Here is the introduction that was found on Genie's old section:

Greetings! My name is Genie. Some of you may already know me from my foot site 1 Genie's Feet. I have always been a huge fan of Wu. He is the Man! I admire him, I love his site and I am very proud to be his friend. Like most of you, I visit Wu's all the time, and I usually check out Michele's Monthly Column. So when Wu contacted me and asked if I would consider taking over her column - I was ecstatic. I can't even begin to tell you how exciting this opportunity really is for me.
I have had a foot fetish since I was a little girl, and I like many of you have been intrigued and even compelled by my ped-curiosities. Being on-line over the past several years has been an incredible growing experience... one which has undoubtedly opened me up sexually... occurring in ways that I never thought possible.
My monthly articles will be an attempt to share a female fetishist perspective drawing on my own personal experiences, and observations. I would like to take moment to thank Wu for giving me G-Spot and of course to all of you for checking out my new column. I would also like to give a special thanks to Michele for sharing her insight. We've all enjoyed her articles about the power of the female foot, and sexual exploration. I don't want to take her place - I would just like to continue where she left off.

In 2009-10 Mommie, a.k.a. Elizabeth, of the website Mommie's Feet, took up the torch for Wu in her columns section titled, "Tip Toeing with Goddess Elizabeth." She wrote a total of 10 columns before stopping. Here is the introduction that was found on Mommie's old section:

Recently Wu emailed me and asked if I would take on the treasured role of "resident columnist" here on Wu's Feet Links! Like so many others before me, I always enjoyed reading Genie's G-Spot columns and it took me no time at all to say yes! Both Genie and her predecessor, Michele, were insightful and passionate writers who created a wonderful place for me to pick up from and continue...I am excited to see where our "tip toeing" takes us together!
Many of you are familiar with me through my sites, MommiesFeet.com and ElizabethsFeet.com. I have been part of the online foot community since 2006, as a foot model and webmaster. When I was introduced to the outside influence of my fellow fetishists, my fascination with feet flourished and manifested itself into every fiber of my being. My first love is the back end of my websites and the second is my camera,a simple Canon Powershot SX100 IS. I prefer to be known as "brains" first and then a beautiful set of feet!
With this column I hope to explore and share new things I learn, give thoughtful female insights on many topics that are circulating in the community and bring to light the beauty of our foot fetish!

After Wu's passing Mommie contacted me and asked if she could be of any assistance with getting long neglected sections back up running again. She offered to relight the torch of the columns section once more. I'm looking forward to this rekindling as she's been a little too quiet lately. She's always had a great outlook on things with a strong conviction to the fetish.

I'm not going to interject here, leaving Mommie to her own devices as far as the columns go. If there is any news that needs to be shared, then you'll see my byline. If Mommie, for some reason, needs a fill in, then I'd also be happy to help out. But other than that, I'm looking forward to reading what others have to say. Plus, you can always read my columns on the Soles of Silk Blog.

I'm glad you found this blog and am looking forward to keeping Wu's vision alive. He was a true pioneer and a friend to many!

Editor's note: Shortly after this blog was published Mommie contacted me to inform me that she has rethought her offer to be the columnist for the relaunch. She said she does not think she would be able to dedicate the time needed to do these on a regular basis. At this point, I am considering potential columnists as a replacement - even the idea of having a few. Until then, you may see me writing columns so that this blog can move forward.

In a world where it is nearly impossible to find a place that you can frolic freely barefoot, touching and bathing another person's feet can be an extremely intimate and personal act which shows signs of trust, love, and openness. Cleansing your own feet can be a relaxing moment that can help you feel refreshed and renewed and has become quite a common grooming habit for many men and women. If you really look at the history of this act you will find that it has been used as an initiation, a welcoming gesture, a purification ritual, and as a means to demonstrate humbleness.

The root of religious feet-washing appears to be found in the customs of many ancient civilizations, especially where sandals were commonly worn. A host would provide water for guests to wash their feet or they would provide a servant to wash the feet of the guests. Roman Catholics believe that Jesus washed the feet of the 12 apostles before The Last Supper to show humility and brotherhood. It also recorded that the observance of foot washing at the time of baptism was maintained in Africa, Gaul, Germany, Milan, northern Italy, and Ireland. In Buddhism, clean water mixed with sandalwood to clean the feet is one of the eight typical offerings and if you cleanse the feet of an enlightened being, it is possible to cleanse one's own karma.

Foot cleansing can involve just plain water but many like to include other ingredients to help soften, fortify and provide relief from tension, stress or abuse. Rose Absolute essential oil can be useful for stress, eczema, menopause and depression while Epsom’s salt (or sea salt), Lavender oil and Tee Tree oil can help relax you and get you ready for a good night's rest. You can also mix a milk and honey bath which provides skin conditioning but also a really delicious aroma and taste. Ingredients are not the only additions to foot baths. You can also add scrubbed and cleaned stones and rocks to the floor of your foot bath to give your toes a little something to play with while you are soaking and cleansing.

You can observe the same rituals and ceremonies as our ancestors or you can create your own. There is no strict set of rules that apply so go wild! Study our past cultures and experiment to suit your taste and comfort level.

What is it about sexy sock and shoe lines that are left behind after a long hard day in a pair of your favorite shoes? These lines of mystery and intrigue usually attract a foot connoisseur in a heartbeat!

I think it is the allure of knowing that our precious feet have suffered all day cramped up in shoes and the moment has arrived where we hold nothing back and we strip them off! All that is left behind to show for the long day walking are rosy red indentations from straps that hold us in, heels that slide against us to cause friction and toe areas that just didn't give us enough room to roam!

Once freed from our foot constraints, our delicate lady feet are just begging to be rubbed, worshiped and bathed in hot soapy foot baths all over the world! That is the perfect time to swoop in and attend to all of our aching needs and even some of your own! Be prepared with that hot foot soak when your lady enters the house after she has labored all day to help bring home the bacon! I promise you that your good deed will not go unappreciated!

There are countless shoe styles that can cause such marks. You have pumps, slingbacks, flats and even flip flops to thank. You can look for and find the marks in various places ...mainly across the tops and the heels of the feet so be sure to pay close attention to pampering these areas!

Now, let's not forget about the sock lines that can happen too! These great lines are sweet proof that the feet have sweated inside tight tennis shoes all day! Some would call this evidence, nothing short of heaven. Just on the other side of those sock lines are little balls of sock lint, hiding like little prizes in between each toe. Can you feel your mouth salivating yet?

Honestly, I do not really care about the scientific reason as to why these marks are so appealing to many. I will sit back and appreciate the fact that somewhere, out there...some one is just waiting for a pair of shoes or socks to be taken off and that the feet contained inside will be sprung loose and cared for! Why question another great part of our ever-expanding world of foot love and fetish?

Foot Funk (Archive)

A large part of the foot fetishist population out there shares a common turn-on, smelly feet. Day after day, countless men and women, enter forums and web sites in search of the smelliest foot. Often they purchase worn shoes, socks and stockings from various models online, in the hopes that they find the perfect foot essence to heighten their arousal and quench their usually very secret lust for foot funk.

So why do our feet smell? What makes some folk's feet more odiferous than others? The main reason for foot odor seems to be courtesy of isovaleric acid-producing bacteria. Bacteria are tiny, one-cell critters that get nutrients from their environments in order to live. In some cases that environment is a human body. Bacteria can reproduce both outside and inside the body. Most bacteria are not good for us, as they cause infections, yet some bacteria are actually good for our bodies and they assist with keeping things in balance.

The bacteria that are on your feet love dark, damp places like the insides of sweaty shoes. They eat dead skin cells and oils from your skin and rapidly multiply in sweat. As their colonies grow, they start getting rid of waste in the form of organic acids and those organic acids are what cause feet to smell bad, or good, if you like smelly feet!

Have you ever known someone who would take their shoes off and could easily clear a room because the smell was really bad? This is because their feet are extra sweaty and produce another form of bacteria called Micrococcus Sedentarius. These bacteria produce more than just stinky organic acids - they also produce stuff called volatile sulfur compounds. Sulfur compounds usually are powerful and awful smelling and if you've ever smelled a rotten egg, you know what volatile sulfur compounds smell like. Excessive sweating is actually a condition called Hyperhidrosis.

Another common contributing factor is a person's diet. It is believed that eating foods that contain spices like onion, garlic, etc can contribute to smelly feet because it will taint the sweat with “spicy” smells. They say eating healthy actually does assist in controlling the scents produced by your feet but do we really want to make the odor go away? Hell no!

We have some of the reasons that feet can "stink" but let's look at the other part of this love affair. Why do people actually get turned on by the essences of a ripe pair of feet? When your feet sweat, this sweat is laced with pheromones which are activated by adrenaline, the hormone that rushes through your body whenever you get excited. The word "pheromones" is from Greek phero (φέρω) meaning "to bear" and hormone ( ὁρμή) meaning "impetus". This could very well be the linking phenomena that attracts different people to different smells, resulting in the attraction that is produced.

Slaves of Feet, Really? (Archive)

Recently someone wrote me asking this burning question that I am sure many of you have often wondered yourselves...

"I've noticed that there are a lot of "slaves" when it comes to foot fetishism. Feet being the lowest part of the body and therefore something about being submissive which comes from ancient cultures or something along those lines. The thing is, there are tons of guys out there that will worship feet all day and night and talk about being someone's slave. But how many of these guys REALLY want to be slaves? Sure there are tons of submissives out there but most of the time, I feel it's all just talk. No real desire. I think it's to just flatter the woman which is fine to a degree but if you're not serious, why say it? Not everyone wants that and I'm one of them."

If I had to guess I would say you are probably seeing a lot of behavior that is associated with online Dominance and submission. D/s involves "master and slave" role-playing scenarios that are conducted over the telephone, email, messenger and web cam. It is an agreed upon arrangement by consenting adults and is not to be entered lightly in many cases. More information can be found here:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dominance_and_submission

The most common online D/s relationship is Financial Domination. This consists of online "play" and a money/gift exchange between a Mistress and her slave(s). The relationship is one based out of a desire to be submissive and supportive to one superior female.

Even though I am not a domme I do get approached with the "I want to be your foot slave" comments and letters. I do feel that this offering does tend to be an overused conversation starter these days. I cannot say if these males wish to truly be "slaves" to women in every sense of the word because I do not entertain them. Honestly I wouldn't have the foggiest on just where to start with one of these gentlemen. For me, business is pretty cut and dry. There is no role playing etc to be had.

From the looks of it on other various websites and social networks nowadays there is a bigger and bigger crossover from foot fetishism into financial domination and this could possibly be the cause for the what feels like a sudden surge of "foot slaves". Since for most people, online is the only way they can fully satisfy their submissive or dominant fetish the most logical thing to do is pay someone for their time and/or services. Many of these so-called slaves send gifts and tributes to please their superior as well. Each situation and relationship is different and most involve the foot fetish as a form of "play."

In the end it really comes down to what makes you most comfortable at the end of the day. If being a submissive is not "your bag" then just look the other way. Just be true to what you like and how you want to be seen to those around you who share the same fetish and activities.
